Tottenham remaining fixtures: Spurs have FOUR games left to secure top-four finish | Football | Sport

Tottenham are currently locked in one of the closest top-four battles in Premier League history.

Spurs sit third in the table and are level with Chelsea in fourth on 67 points.

Arsenal are just a point further back in fifth while Manchester United trail the Gunners by two points in sixth.

Mauricio Pochettino’s men were narrowly beaten by defending champions Manchester City at the weekend, paving the way for a reshuffle among the four clubs.

But rivals Chelsea, Arsenal and United all failed to win their games as the competition rolls into the next round of fixtures.

Tottenham, who still have a Champions League semi-final tie to come, can strengthen their claim for a top-four place with victory at home to Brighton this evening.

“It’s so clear that we have two objectives,” Pochettino said.

“One is to be in the top four at the end of the season and the other is to beat Ajax.

“But we need to go step-by-step, the players know it.

“I think the behaviour and the mentality is perfect.”
